For how long have been in photography?

How did you start? Since 2002, like most it started as a hobby and evolved into much more through the years.

How would you define yourself as an artist?

I try not to worry to much about what others do, I try and out do myself every day. My last shoot should always be my best.

Where do you find inspiration?
Mostly in movies, music videos, thats more the vibe I like.

Is Brainstorming not the only creative method use to create new concepts?

On some project i brainstorm alone, but i prefer to do it with my team.

Please could you tell us about photography and digital technology?

The pros with photography these days are also the cons. Digital has made it very accessible to everyone. There for you have 80% of the industry that don’t really know what they are doing, but rather driving the down the pay rate we all get. These are hobbyists that pass themselves off as professionals too soon. Nothing wrong with being a hobbies, thats how I started, however I also wait 5 years before approaching client and magazines.

What type of camera do you use most?

I’m a sponsored ambassador for Pentax, using the 645Z medium format camera (51.4 MP)

What is your favorite lens?
My favourite lens right now is the 55mm or the 80-160mm (Which is like a 70-200mm for those that don’t shoot medium format)

What has been your most memorable assignment and why?
By far it would have to be shooting for Aqua Di Lara swimwear in beautiful Aruba, not only one of my favourite clients but also one of the most stunning places Ive ever been to.

How important is an awesome website for your business? Very. I get most of my work via my website.

What’s the most important quality a photographer needs to have?
Besides the obvious ones like skill and creativity, business sense!

Which of your projects has given you the most satisfaction? Same answer (Aqua di Lara in Aruba)

What are your next projects? I will be heading back to LA in July to shoot for an up and coming singer, looking forward to going back.
