For how long have been in photography? How did you start? I did start in 2009 working as assistant for few senior photographers. In 2011 I opened my own studio in Milan and even if I loved it, I’ve always been inspired by the desire to go. My mind was far away looking for something new, stronger than what was my life there. I Moved to Australia, where I’ve been living for three years. I’m back in Europe now, ready to travel everyday everywhere. Maybe I need a new luggage.. I feel that’s my life now. That’s my art, just feeling free.

Who has been the greatest inspiration in your life today? Everything I’ve got around can inspire me. It’s just up to the daily mood. I’m an open air one, don’t shut me inside. Let me feel the sun on my skin. Let me smell the sea. Come on, let’s go sailing.

What for you is the most enjoyable part of your photography? People think that good pictures are created by good photographers. That is not enough. Good pictures are taken by a good team. A group of professionals who strongly believe that they are creating something that has to be amazing, better than what they really expected to do. That’s perfectly what happened last week shooting for Maddalena Triggiani due to the wonderful team she created.
Travelling always put me into new groups of people, and the best I can shoot is absolutely connected to the environment I’ve got around me. Smile, dance, create, suggest. Show your feelings, shake with other one’s. Let me put my light on that. Taste fashion. That’s what I love.

Is Brainstorming not the only creative method use to create new concepts? Absolutely not. Brainstorming is important as a walk, a sketch, a red but very very red shining apple, the sea and I can not stop to list what is important in every creative job.

Please could you tell us about photography and digital technology? That’s a big topic and I’m going for a swim, so I’ll be quick. Technology is two things in photography. Producing and sharing.
Digital photography allows you to go over the shot. Photographers can shoot on film and be ready to go, people who say “I’m a photographer” not. And it’s plenty of them. So, with technology, if you have a lot of free time and you can play with photoshop, you can say to be a photographer. Welcome. Please don’t forget to buy the last reflex, you need it. Then there’s the technology that cuts the distances, reset the time and connects people easier than ordering an espresso at 9 am. So, just take the best of technology but don’t be addicted to that.

What type of camera do you use most? What is your favorite lens? I like small format cameras because they’re easy and quick, but sometimes I need to hire medium format. Lenses!? Of course they’re up to the picture you want to take. Never without my 28-300.

What has been your most memorable assignment and why? Lots of them. Best jobs because of the team and of a strong model. Stronger than beautiful, that’s the key to be a good model.. And a good model is an essential!

What are your favourite three images you have shot recently? The hardest job for me is the editing. Most of the time, affection goes over the shot. What you have been living on the set to stop that moment, colors, music, looks and breaths can make the selected picture the best one ever. Hard situations, not enough lights, hurry and any issues you can step in, are always the good pretext to shot another best one!

How important is an awesome website for your business? Awesome is too much maybe. As you can see on mine, I chose a clean minimal design. You just have to show your pictures, they have to get all the attention.

What’s the most important quality a photographer needs to have? Photographers must be professional with models and don’t pretend to hook up just because that’s the legend. I’m seek to welcome girls who don’t trust me because they’ve got bad experiences. That’s a job, please be serious.

Which of your projects has given you the most satisfaction? I use to test a lot and I’m active as model scout for Weareone Management Budapest. So, when I see a girl with a good potential, I use to train her on the set. That allows me to create a model too and place her in the right job. Too easy!

List of your clients?
Some. The best clients who gave me the possibility to be free and create by myself are Maddalena Triggiani, Tyson Design, Sydney Props Studios, Lightex, Tborn and some serious model agency.
Actually I’m living in Puglia, Italy, and I’m running a project with artisans. You can’t image how many amazing products I’m seeing. I hope that will be the future.

Who are the photographer’s you admire the most? Old school and icons for sure. I admire photographers who don’t talk about photography at the happy hour and don’t bring the camera to friends weddings.

What about architects and designers? I love all of them who respect the basement of this field. The function first, the shape up to the function. Style first is not what we need anymore. Trend is over. Now is time to make smart creations. Pollution must be the next source.

What are your next projects? Advertise for brands that produce responsible, be proud of the product I’m promoting. And as soon as possible, get the sea involved in my job.
