For how long have been in photography?
Since the age of 15: 36 years

How did you start?
When I was 15, my dad gave me his camera. I started shooting my nieces. One thing led to another.

How would you define yourself as an artist?
Eccentric. Flamboyant. On the edge.

Where do you find inspiration?
Under the shower and on the toilet.

Is Brainstorming not the only creative method use to create new concepts?
No, ideas can come by a single image on the street, or by seeing a movie or another picture.

Please could you tell us about photography and digital technology?
Digital photography offers far more possibilities in the development of the image. It gives a lot more contrast ratio compared to analogue photography

What type of camera do you use most?
Canon EOS 1DX

What is your favorite lens?
24/70 mm

What has been your most memorable assignment and why?
An assignment for VW Golf, because we built the Maledives in the studio.

What are your favourite three images you have shot recently?
Three shots I took in Ibiza just after a huge storm and three days of non-activity of the crew: the sea very wild, extraordinary sunlight and the beach completely deserted.

How important is an awesome website for your business?
Extremely important. I pay a lot of attention to quick downloading of images, the size, resolution, etc. It is my business card.

What’s the most important quality a photographer needs to have?
Communication. With the model and the crew. And additionally, he needs to be a good movie director in order to create a spontaneous atmosphere on the set.

Which of your projects has given you the most satisfaction?
My three books with teNeues

What are your next projects?
I’m currently working on my next book, and that takes 80% of my time. The book will be released in September 2015.
