For how long have been in photography?

How did you start?
When I was forced to pay for my medical school, I started shooting models for the modeling agencies, and one thing lead to another and here I am 🙂

How would you define yourself as an artist?

Where do you find inspiration?
Almost everywhere.

Is Brainstorming not the only creative method use to create new concepts?
Yes and No, sometimes the ideas just come to me as I am shooting.

Please could you tell us about photography and digital technology?
I am still a big fan of analog and film photography, I still have a darkroom and develop my own film but I do like the conveniences that digital photography offer in my commercial or even personal work, but there is nothing like FILM.

What type of camera do you use most?
I use a combination of nearly 15 cameras, depending on my mood and the assignments I have.

What is your favorite lens?
My nikon 85mm 1.4

What has been your most memorable assignment and why?
When I got a call to shoot an ad campaign for Mercedes Benz 2 years ahead of it’s time; what made it memorable was that I told them, I have never shot a car in my life, but they insisted that I should just shoot and treat the car like a fashion model, which was exactly what I did. The end result was a very successful campaign and my first car shoot ever.

What are your favorite three images you have shot recently?
My kids.

How important is an awesome website for your business?
Having a great website is essential for serious photographers, I could not emphasize that enough!

What’s the most important quality a photographer needs to have?
Personality, Creativity and leadership.

Which of your projects has given you the most satisfaction?
My personal work.

List of your clients?
Too long and too boring.

Who are the photographer’s you admire the most?
Irving Penn, Helmut Newton, Kieth Carter, Richard Avedon.

What about architects and designers?
Frank Gehry, his architectural masterpieces are very hard to miss, buildings like Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao, Dancing House in Prague, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Louis Vuitton Foundation, etc…
As for fashion designers, I have many favorites, but my personal fashion designer, Alice Abraham is by far one of the greatest designers that I have had a pleasure working with.

What are your next projects?
My International Art Exhibition of my Fine art work.
